Thanks. It was tough but I actually didn’t read Pitchfork’s list yet, if you can believe that. I had a feeling a lot of people would default to Kanye as Album of the Year. But to me that’s more a factor of his admittedly savvy self-marketing to stay top of mind, along with the recency effect of his late-in-the-year release date.

Nice recap, sir! You definitely had my head nodding, and you’ve given me a few artists to check out. I also appreciate that this is not a regurgitation of Pitchfork’s list and you didn’t think that Kanye’s album is the second coming (although it is good).
